STUDENT DEVICE INFORMATION
All students in Grades 1-12 have the opportunity to use their own BCPS device at school for learning. Students in Grades 6-12 may take their BCPS device home. In order for CMS students to take their BCPS device home, a parent or guardian must:

  • Watch a short video about proper device use and care, and
  • Sign our Student Device Loan & Use Agreement

New this school year, parents and guardians may watch the video about device use and care online, print the Student Device Loan & Use Agreement, sign it, and send back to their child’s science teacher.  Any students who have not returned their form by the week of Sept. 17 will receive a form from their science teacher.  A limited supply of forms is also available in the office.  Device distribution will begin during the week of 9/17.

The video is available online as a course through our SafeSchools Training system.

Here’s what you will need to do to watch the video online:

  • Go to the SafeSchools Training system and register or create an account. You will need an email address.
  • Watch the 10-minute Middle and High School Device Loan and Use Presentation.
  • Once you have completed the course, either send in your completed Student Device Loan & Use Agreement or request that your student get one from his or her science teacher during the first couple weeks of school.

Questions can be directed to your child’s science teacher or Ms. Smith, our technology liaison.
