Since our goal at Catonsville Middle School is to improve student achievement, we have purchased Study Island subscriptions for every student enrolled in a double-period math or Language! class.

Study Island is an online educational resource that provides students with additional practice in reading and math. It is completely aligned with the Maryland Voluntary State Curriculum, so when students master the skills in Study Island, they are also mastering the skills that are assessed on the Maryland School Assessment (MSA). There is also a game mode in which students must correctly answer questions before being rewarded with game time.

The service can be used at school or at home.  All you need to take a trip to Study Island is a computer with Internet access. The students received their usernames and passwords from their teachers.
